Xyzoid is a Portland-based event production and audiovisual company helping organizations turn ambitious ideas into well-executed experiences.
We provide sound, video, lighting, staging, equipment rentals, technical labor, show support, and event logistics throughout Portland and the Pacific Northwest. Our work ranges from meetings and community celebrations to festivals, live performances, branded activations, and custom technical installations.
Every project is different, so we begin by understanding what the event needs to accomplish. From there, we assemble the right combination of people, equipment, and practical planning to make it happen. Clients can bring us in for a single piece of the production or rely on us to coordinate the complete technical picture.
We believe good production should feel collaborative, adaptable, and calm. Behind the scenes, that means clear communication, skilled technicians, thoughtfully maintained equipment, and a team empowered to solve problems.

Xyzoid brings together technicians, designers, builders, performers, and production partners according to the needs of each project. This flexible model allows us to support intimate events with the same care and professionalism we bring to larger, more complex productions.
We are independently owned and based in Portland, Oregon.
JASON SCHUURMANS
Founder, Creative & Technical Director
Jason Schuurmans is an event producer, audiovisual technician, designer, and creative problem-solver with more than two decades of experience in live events and entertainment.
His background spans audio, video, lighting, staging, event logistics, technical direction, and hands-on fabrication. He founded Xyzoid to create a production company capable of handling the practical realities of an event while still making room for experimentation, artistry, and unusual ideas.
Jason remains directly involved in Xyzoid’s projects, from early conversations and technical planning through installation and show day. He is especially drawn to projects that require different disciplines to work together, whether that means transforming a space, developing a custom technical solution, or coordinating the many moving parts behind a live experience.
INFRASTRUCTURE FOR THE CREATIVE FUTURE
Our long-term aim is to build more than an equipment rental company. Xyzoid is developing the people, tools, partnerships, and production infrastructure needed to support ambitious creative work throughout the region.
